In 1869, 2 young boys Benjamin and Caleb bury the Jumanji board game in the jungle near the town of Brantford. The board game starts attracting attention to itself, by emitting sounds of drums beating. The boys fear that one day the board game might be dug up and someone could start playing and are horrified by the prospect. Starring Robin Williams.
The film follows the series of events of two children who move into a longtime empty house and discover a supernatural board game that upon players rolls of the dice, sends wild animals and other jungle hazards to manifest into their world and antagonize the players and surrounding neighborhood. When they start playing, they release a long time trapped man from the game’s jungle world, where he explores the effects his disappearance made on town. Reuniting with his childhood friend, the four continue to play the game that the adults previously started 26 years ago and intend to finish it to make the consequences of the game finally disappear.
