Meet The Cast

  • Scrooge-Jay Zimmerman

    Jay is honored to come back to the palace stage as Ebenezer Scrooge in the Curtain Up production of Scrooge a Christmas Tale.Jay made his theatrical debut in 2006 as Herod in Jesus Christ Superstar and has enjoyed some other Curtain Up roles since. Some of his favorites to date: Scrooge the musical/2016,17,18,19&21,Ebenezer Scrooge, gate keeper/Wizard of Oz, Judah/2013/2021 Joseph, Topper&Fezziwig &Scrooge/Scrooge and Uncle Fester/Addams Family. You may have caught Jay fronting Lockport Tragically Hip tribute band “Day for Night”. Jay is delighted to be working with such a talented cast and production team. Jay would like to thank his family for their love and support. Krista, Chloe and fellow cast-mate dance coach ,constructive critic and youngest daughter Evelyn. Always remember Grandma Z always said “singing just makes you feel good”

  • Taylor Carlson

    Taylor is elated to return to the Palace stage! Previous Palace credits: Matilda (Mrs. Wormwood), Pippin (Leading Player), Young Frankenstein (Elizabeth Benning), Stepping Out (Mavis), Joseph… (Narrator), Into the Woods (Witch), The Little Mermaid (Ursula), Guys & Dolls (Sarah Brown), and Les Misérables (Eponine). MusicalFare credits: Ragtime, Violet, Evita (Eva’s sister/ensemble), How to Succeed… (Dance captain/ensemble), and the Artie-award-winning production of In the Heights (Bolero singer/ensemble). Other credits: The Drowsy Chaperone (The Drowsy Chaperone), Urinetown (Penelope Pennywise), and I Never Saw Another Butterfly (Raja Englanderova). Taylor would like to thank everyone involved, as well as her friends and family for their unwavering love and support.

  • Ashley Moscato

    Ashley is so excited to return to the Historic Palace Stage in Scrooge- A Christmas Tale! Her previous local stage credits include Pippin (Catherine) at the Historic Palace Theatre and Legally Blonde (Serena) at Canisius College. Ashley would like to thank all involved, as well as her husband, friends, and family for their ongoing love and support!

  • Jason Mussachio

    Jason is thrilled to join this wonderfully talented cast in brining a new holiday classing to the stage. This has been a banner year for Jason, who has been inspired by the talents of his immensely talented daughter Amelia and incredible wife Katie working on Curtain Up’s production of "Matilda: The Musical” and now “Scrooge.” Together, they also own Bonjour Crepes, a block East of the Palace. Though Jason is a passionate educational project manager during the day, he has been lucky enough to appear in Curtain Up’s “Young Frankenstein,“ "Joseph…” and “42nd Street.”

  • Joe Greenan

    Joe Greenan is thrilled to be back on Palace Theatre stage. Joe was recently seen in New Hampshire, where he was a part of Peterborough Players’ productions of The Emperor’s New Clothes as The Swindler, and Cabaret as an ensemble member. In Buffalo, Joe has been seen in the Artie Award winning production of Beauty and The Beast. Some favorite credits include: John Hinckley Jr. in Assassins, Mitch Mahoney in The 25th…Spelling Bee, and Jesus in Godspell. He would love to thank the entire Matilda team for such a fun time, and his parents for their support!!

  • Katie Mussachio

    Katie is so happy to be involved with Scrooge-A Christmas Tale. Christmas music is her favorite, and she loves being able to share the stage with such talented performers, singing such beautiful music. Katie is a school principal and owns Bonjour Crepes in her free time. She has enjoyed helping to plan Stage and Scream at the Palace, supporting behind the scenes for Matilda, and helping to reimagine the classic Dickens' novel.

  • Amelia Mussachio

    Amelia is excited to be performing in Scrooge-A Christmas Tale! She is in 8th grade and enjoys being on the Matt’s Music Vocal Performance Team where she gets great opportunities like performing at Carnegie Hall. She also enjoys participating with the Palace Performing Arts School. Some of her favorite roles have been: Olaf in Frozen, Brooke in Legally Blonde, Lily in Annie, and Scarecrow in Wizard of Oz, but her favorite role so far was as Lavender in Curtain Up Production’s, Matilda! Amelia thanks her Gramma, Papa, Julie, Mom, and Dad for being her biggest fans.

  • Cameron Gilson

    Cameron is excited to be part of this Lockport tradition! He has participated in several theater productions including Seussical Jr, Frozen Jr, Scrooge the Musical, and most recently, Matilda the Musical through the Palace Theater. He is currently a sophomore at Newfane High School and is on the Cross Country and Track and Field teams, as well as Model UN and the School Senate. Cameron is proud to be part of this wonderful production. He would like to thank his parents for supporting him through these productions.

  • Madelyn Kelley

    Madelyn is very excited to be working alongside this amazing cast of "Scrooge"! She would like to thank her mother and sister for helping her throughout the rehearsal process, she is very lucky to have them by her side. She has been in past productions of The Wizard of Oz Kids. (Dorothy), Annie Jr. (Molly) , Legally Blonde Jr. (Vivenne Kensington), and Annie Jr (Annie). In March of 2023, Madelyn will be returning to the Palace stage as Young Fiona and Baby Bear in Shrek. Lastly, Madelyn is proud of all this cast and crew have been able to accomplish and hopes everyone enjoys the show.

  • Evelyn Zimmerman

    Evelyn Zimmerman is very happy to be part of the Palace theatre production of Scrooge the musical 2022. You may have seen her in a few productions at The Palace. Such as, “Scrooge the musical” (ensemble), “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream coat”(ensemble), and many PPAS performances. She also has performed in her school musicals. You may have seen her in “Legally Blonde” (Elle Woods), “High school Musical” (Taylor),and” Annie” (Annie). When she is not on stage she is assistant teaching at Onstage Dance Studio with all of her favorite teachers. Evelyn is very proud to be joining her father Jay Zimmerman on the stage once again. She would like to thank her family and friends for all of their love and support. Evelyn is extremely excited to be back for another year with the cast and crew of the Palace theatre and wishes everyone good luck!

  • Christopher Parada- Director

    Christopher is thrilled to bring this new musical to life on the Palace’s historic stage! Having director over 25 productions with Curtain Up Productions, a few favorites include: Pippin, 42nd Street, Beauty and the Beast, Billy Elliot, The Little Mermaid, Joseph…, Little Women, Addams Family, Young Frankenstein and Les Miserables. Other theatre credits include, Shakespeare in Delaware Park, CATS (Hair,Wig, Makeup Designer) Artpark's Beauty and the Beast (Hair and makeup Designer). In addition to directing, Christopher fulfills his theatrical passions as the Executive Artistic Director of the Historic Palace Theatre. Christopher is also the founder of the Santa Claus Christmas Cottage located in Day Road Park. (

  • Zachary Carr- Vocal Director

    Zach Carr, Ph.D., is thrilled to be returning to the Historic Palace Theatre as co-vocal director alongside the incomparable Kim Potfora! Zach's previous vocal directing credits include Bye, Bye, Birdie!, Shrek, Cinderella, Joseph… 42nd Street & Footloose! Zach is the Vocal Director at Matt's Music, Inc. where he oversees the largest vocal program in WNY while also engaging in private vocal instruction. Aside from his musical endeavors, Zach is also a Clinical Assistant Professor (Department of Communication) at the University at Buffalo, SUNY and gives talks regularly on his research regarding nonverbal communication and audience engagement. Zach would like to thank Chris, Ellen, and the entire cast and crew for making this another wonderful theatre experience. Lastly, Zach would like to thank you all for supporting live theatre and the arts. We hope you enjoy Matilda!

  • Kim Potfora - Vocal Director

    Kim is so excited to be vocal directing at the Palace Theatre! Kim is a senior vocal instructor at Matt's Music and a head coach on the Matt's Music Vocal Performance Team. She is proficient in all musical genres but specializes in contemporary theatre, traditional theatre, pop and jazz. Her students have performed at Carnegie Hall, in various collegiate theater programs, and countless other events and competitions in the WNY area. Kim also performs at different local venues and was previously the Music Director of University at Buffalo's all-female acapella group, "The Royal Pitches." Much love to this amazing cast and crew!

  • Jordan Stover- Costume Designer

    Jordan Stover is grateful to be back at the Palace! Jordan is a graduate from BSC where she earned a BA in Fashion Design through the Muriel A. Howard Honors Program. She has won awards from the ITAA and the ASG for previous fashion collections. In addition to a national feature in Notions Magazine, Jordan worked in London, England with Zandra Rhodes in 2019. Jordan’s previous costume credits include Pippin, 42nd Street, Young Frankenstein (Palace Theatre), Dogfight (Bellissima Productions), La Boheme (NACC), Into the Woods and Hello Dolly! (LHS). She would like to thank her friends, family and the Palace for their continued support!
